In his first EP release for DEKORA Digital Records, Loisaida’s own, DASO “El Afro Caribeño” has hit the ground running following a long self-imposed quarantine. After surviving a bout with the dreaded COVID-19 virus, DASO has put together a collection of seven sparkling tunes [Lucky 7] that deeply reflect on the experience that inspired him to write about the healing power of faith and an elevated appreciation for the gift of life. The artist pulled out all the stops: composing, arranging, performing, and producing his new project called “Distancia.”
Throughout the production, the composer draws from his personal experience to express his yearning for normalcy and healing. His lyrics bring to the forefront celestial dialog and gratitude for all things, often times leave you humming his affirmations. The intrinsic beats in the tracks are heartfelt and they cushion the layers of chorus that float around his soulful bi-lingual leads. The set is a celebration of life, a victory call spreading the word for all to promote life and safety during these unusual times.
